The extremely high vacuum achieved by the Mogul impregnating unit removes air and moisture from the casting to be sealed, and assures positive penetration of the impregnant into the most minute pore. After penetration of the sealant caused by the vacuum, air pressure is applied for further seal penetration.

Pressure castings impregnated with a Mogul impregnating unit may be subjected to severe testing with hot or cold water, hot kerosene, oil, gases, etc. under pressure, to ascertain the permanency of the impregnation.

Use With Any Impregnating Material

Mogul Cast Seal Type "B" is recommended as a highly efficient, low-cost impregnant for use with all Mogul impregnating units. However, so versatile is the equipment, it provides excellent results with such impregnating materials as sodium silicate, polyester, vinylite, lacquer, wax, varnish, oil, styrene, and phenolic resins. It can be supplied refrigerated for those materials requiring refrigeration, or supplied with both heating and cooling.
